Ashwagandha for stress relief
Many clinical trials show ashwagandha offers a wide range of benefits and helps balance the body’s response to the stresses of day-to-day living. In fact ashwagandha has become one of the most sought-after botanicals for stress management with human and animal research finding that it promotes a healthy stress response memory health and cognition overall well-being and more.
In a 60-day clinical trial 130 adults took ashwagandha extract once or twice daily or placebo. After 60 days all stress-related parameters were significantly improved in the groups receiving ashwagandha. Ashwagandha Plus Calm and Focus delivers 250 mg of ashwagandha extract per dose.
The ashwagandha extract also helped balance biological markers of stress and encouraged a healthy balance of stress-related hormones such as cortisol.
Stress can also affect memory concentration and mood. In the 60-day study at each dosage ashwagandha improved self-rated scores of cognitive function and mood. Specifically ashwagandha helped relieve feelings of everyday stress occasional irritability and encouraged healthy concentration. Clinical studies also suggest that ashwagandha helps support healthy cognitive function.
Spearmint for memory and concentration
Spearmint contains special phenolic compounds in spearmint extract that have been shown to support working memory as well as reaction time concentration and short-term memory. Ashwagandha Plus contains 900 mg of a spearmint extract standardized for these phenolic compounds.
In a double-blind placebo-controlled trial participants taking a high-phenolic spearmint extract for 90 days exhibited better and more accurate working memory than placebo groups did.
